What is BeInspired?
BeInspired is the UK version of Doenkids, The Netherlands premier learning experience and activity database for after-school clubs, nurseries, playgroups and childcare centres.
Founded on the principle that practitioners often come up with the best learning experiences, and that multiple sources of activities leads to a disconnected experience for children, every BeInspired activity has been created by someone with experience in childcare. While also making sure they are tied to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Areas of Learning and Development.
If you’ve been hankering for a single source of inspiration instead of relying on Pinterest, Google, Instagram and more for your early years activity planning, BeInspired is what you’re looking for.
Who is BeInspired for?
BeInspired is for everyone, from management down to the individual practitioner. For the manager(s), they get insight into the activities being done and can double-check the nursery’s teaching ethos is being followed. They can also have activities sent to them for approval for the same reasons.
For Room Leaders, they can choose the theme or plan they’d like their Practitioners to follow, while Practitioners can have all the fun selecting activities and getting them ready, uploading pictures of the activities and Golden Moments to the Parent App so parents can feel involved too.
And every activity gets added to a planner so each staff member involved can see what’s happening and when – perfect for the detail orientated. And those with a creative spin can even create their own activities to share with every setting they’re connected to!
How does BeInspired work?
Once you’re signed up, you’ll gain instant access to the BeInspired platform. Right now it’s a separate system from your main Blossom platform, but you’ll always have a handy link on your platform to easily navigate back to BeInspired. In time it’ll be on the same platform, but for now the best experience is provided separately.
Once you’re there, you’ll have access to every activity straight away, with every learning activity available and refinable with a handy search function. If you don’t want to explore through there, you’ll find selections of activities grouped by theme ready to be loaded into your calendar as a programme of activities.
