With the recent launch of Birth to 5 Matters by the Early Years Coalition, and September’s deadline drawing nearer, things have no doubt started to shake up at your nursery.
At Blossom, we know the feeling as we begin to ready our own settings. Therefore, rest assured that we are working on updating our software to accommodate all updates.
Blossom customers will soon be able to:
- Access both the Development Matters and Birth to 5 Matters on the platform
- Enjoy our extended 'professional judgement' feature by adding media and comments directly into the frameworks
- Make use of our assessment tracker (an updated observation tracker) to see data based on both observations and professional judgements
All existing information that you currently have related to the old EYFS framework will remain on the software and be kept safe. When the changes come into practice later in the year, you will have the option to select the new curriculum.
What about Montessori and the new frameworks?
If you are a Montessori, don’t worry! You will soon have the flexibility to link to both frameworks as well. We will also be updating our list of Montessori activities and next steps within the platform. So please get in touch if you have any suggestions for activities you would like us to add!
This is just the first version of our EYFS changes coming to the software. We will be releasing version 2 shortly after as, like you, Blossom will be adapting to any and all final framework updates and changes.
